Ace and I are huge fans of Twilight Zone, but something we rarely talk about is Amazing Stories. Yeah, it had its share of Spielberg schmaltz, but it also had the big budget stuff like Tales from the Darkside lacked (although the latter was a far scarier anthology show). Anyway, X-Entertainment has a big entry about the Greatest Amazing Story Episode Ever. (And like the XE author, I, too, have only seen this episode once. It really does stick with you.)

Writer Bill Bradley (not *that* Bill Bradley) details the recent, under-the-radar tactical successes of the new GOP Assembly leader. I've long found it much more fun to watch how minority parties operate (e.g. watching Harry Reid out maneuver Bill Frist again and again between 2004 and 2006). They're given less resources to work with and by definition have to resort to unique strategems and politicking to play defense, let alone offense. |
