Abort 'Em All
Well duh. Who didn't see this one coming? NYT reports that as science progresses, more women are using the early-detection of birth defects as grounds for abortion.
Of course, this infinitely predictable situation is tying the Choicers and the Lifers up in knots and I love it. If anything, it once again shows that the Christian Right should be adamantly pro-science, as I think science will ultimately help them win more and more of the rank and file to the pro-life cause (It's like the old Rush Limbaugh joke about how as soon as scientists discover the gay gene in fetuses, GLAAD will become pro-life). Rand Simberg over at Transterrestrial Musings puts it well.

Imagine the mental and logical gymnastics one must go through in order to believe that it's all right to abort a "normal" baby, but not one genetically deformed
