Indeed???
"I support the war, but I don't support the troops."
In light of the possible/maybe/probably U.S. massacres of Iraqi civilians, Al Franken's hilarious joke has never been more apt.

I mean, come on dude, don't mince about. There's at least one definite massacre, maybe more. But then I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who still supports the war and doesn't also support torture/indefinite detainment/the occasional massacre. It is, as Rummy is so fond of saying, down to the dead enders.
re: mincing
After the shoddy reporting post-9/11, pre-Iraq War, during Hurricane Katrina, etc. I've learned that it's better for one's sanity to give all major news stories 8 months to a year to let the facts settle and the lies boil off.

Al Gore seems to support finishing the war. And something tells me he's not in favor of torture! (Although he probably dreams of sticking red hot pokers into SUV owners. In which case, I'm more alike Gore than I ever imagined.)
Well you might recall Sy Hersh reporting about this last November (I think it was November). Is that enough months?
