I love the ol' Captain Marvel standby of putting a guy with an animal head in a suit. It's also a bit odd, having seen Black Adam turned into a proper and high end villain in recent years, seeing him with this crowd of oddballs.
Is that Jeff Smith MSOE book ever coming out? Or was that all a clever ruse?
The reason why I found that glorious pic is because I was doing research on the Jeff Smith project. Apparently, he's still pencilling it. My God, he's been pencilling since 2003.
And yeah, suited-animal-headed-men is a great convention.
You know, if the MSOE were to exist right now, with all characters at the current power levels, it might be the most powerful group out there. Black Adam is like a tick below Superman on the power scale, and Sivana is essentially Mr. Fantastic/Silver Age Lex on the intelligence scale. Mr. Mind is a super genius too and Captain Nazi and Ibis are heavy hitters. It's a tough group, folks.
But the last time we saw Capt Nazi he got totally schooled by Catman, right?
I just love the giant Mr. Mind in the background. He all like "Yes, I am an intelligent worm! What of it?"
Jeff Smith can't be bothered to pencil because he periodically has to roll in all his "Bone"-generated cash.
