Wow, I didn't get a single Friendster testimonial in all of 2005. There's a delightful character analysis from Rick in July 2004, and then nothing until Jeff shows up to mention the USC article.
It's weird. People seemed to take so much time with their Friendster testimonials. Each one (at least a couple years ago when Friendster was en vogue) was maticulous. Yet, on MySpace, people shit out comments like... well, shit. I'm guessing it has something to do with the instant gratification MySpace offers of being able to see your comment posted on your friend's page immediately.
Yeah, MySpace comments seem to be used more as messages back and forth to friends than actual Testimonials. Perhaps it's all in the name. Or maybe Myspace is just sleazier.
I don't get that, by the way. People carry on whole conversations in their Myspace comments. What an inconvenient way to converse! To make any sense of it you have to bounce back and forth like a retard.
