Holding My Purple Thumb Aloft

Another big vote in Iraq. Good luck embryonic democrats! To celebrate what I hope will prove a relatively (emphasis on that word) smooth election, here's a link to my favorite cartoon regarding the January election.

I don't think they need the "bad day for vampires" caption. It actually makes it a bit confusing because Al Qaeda doesn't really directly parrellel vampires. Well, confusing is the wrong word. Anyway, I'm overanalyzing this cartoon, which is what I do to cartoons now. Huzzah.

Yay for voting. Don't we vote soon? I probably have a lot of reading to do on that.

Yeah, wait. How is Al Qaeda like a vampire? They kill and all, but they don't soak a country or a people's lifeblood, really. In Iraq, they're more like Pod People; you're never sure who's in the group and who's not.

Oh, that would be really cool if there were only twelve models of Al Qaeda. Like, there's a Bin Laden in Pakistan, but there's also a Bin Laden model working in the Pentagon, and serving aboard an aircraft carrier.
