Whoah
If this true, it's just terrifying.
I mean, she's right. And I've at least half-jokingly thought so for years. But if that's truly his response then we are in a shitload of trouble both at home and abroad. More than I thought even.
At a news conference, Pelosi, D-Calif., said Bush's choice for head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency had ''absolutely no credentials.''
She related that she had urged Bush at the White House on Tuesday to fire Michael Brown.
''He said 'Why would I do that?''' Pelosi said.
'''I said because of all that went wrong, of all that didn't go right last week.' And he said 'What didn't go right?'''
''Oblivious, in denial, dangerous,'' she added.

I can't remember where I read it, but my favorite President-Out-of-It moment was some Miss. woman begging him to tell her where to get some new clothes, considering her house had just been wiped out. POTUS just kept saying "Salavation Army." Finally, someone in crowd blurted out, "The Hurricane destroyed our Salvation Army store." Bush had no idea.
How can he be worse than Reagan? Reagan had ALZHEIMER'S!
I remember during the 2004 campaign a bunch of people saying they had seen old video clips of him being well-spoken and whatnot, and his current incoherence must be due to either an intentional dumbing down of his persona or a degenerative brain disease of some kind. At the time I assumed either was ludicrous, but I wouldn't have been too surprised by the first one.
Maybe, just maybe, it IS a degenerative brain disease.
(feel free to read that last bit in 30s Studio Exec voice)
Maybe, maybe President Bush doesn't have a clue!
Maybe, maybe President Bush is a T-1000 that *can* form complex machinery?
