So this flick is getting good reviews. And it's based on a graphic novel. Should I have read this graphic novel? Has anybody read this graphic novel?

No, no one has. I think it was one of those books put out by Paradox Press (like "Road to Perdition"). DC offered a new printing of it recently, if you're interested. Keep in mind, though, that Cronenberg had no idea the screenplay was based off anything, so who knows how faithful to the source material it actually will turn out to be. Then again, I have more faith in David Cronenberg than in some unknown graphic novelists, so I'm sure any changes are for the best.
