Damn.

Marvel got schooled in the 2005 Eisner nominations.

Just sayin'.

Oh yeah, and it's odd that Chris Ware got nominated for best short story for the cover of McSweeneys. It's kind of like nominating someone's opening credits for best short film. Which isn't to say that it's totally unreasonable, just odd.

Interestingly, Plastic Man appears to be DC's most nominated superhero book.

i feel even less remorse for having given up comics.

but it's funny to think about not going to the eisner's this year.

Marvel get schooled most every year, don't they? They've only got the straight superhero stuff going for them. I mean, without Vertigo and Wildstorm, DC would be pretty scarce this year, as well.

But I like this year's crop, for the most part. Yes I do.
