Activision

Now that the Radical Right, ie Republican Party Leadership, has declared that it was "activist judges" (their favorite scapegoat!) who got Terry Schaivo "murdered" I think one thing has become clear: "Activist judge" now means, and probably only ever meant, "judges who disagree with me." Every judge, mostly conservatives, who heard the case ruled in favor of the husband, and I've not read a single argument stating that any of them didn't uphold the law. Despite huge pressure from Congress they interpreted and applied the law as written, regardless of their personal beliefs. Which is, you know, what the Judiciary is supposed to do. The GOP is just upset that there is an independent judiciary that can check their power and slap their hand a bit when they over-reach.

I'm glad we've got that one cleared up.
